On a knife edge
Decision time is fast approaching.
The EU carbon price has been trading in an ever narrower range over the past six months and is currently hovering a little above the 200-day moving average. As the end of year compliance deadline looms and the market looks forward to developments later in the spring, technical, fundamental and positioning data all point towards a market that is finely balanced.
Right now, its not clear which way the market will breakout.
